Frequently Asked Questions

At Agape Healing and Wellness Center, we have invested our time and effort in addressing as many questions as possible, equipping you with the necessary tools to make an informed decision about utilizing our services.

What can I hope to get out of therapy?

We work with clients to accomplish their self-defined goals.  Having said that, you get in what you put out.  If the expectation is for the therapist to “fix” the problem or person, you will be disappointed by the therapeutic process.  If the client actively participates in the process, they will obtain the desired outcome.

How long is therapy?

Our sessions are 50 minutes, however longer sessions are available upon request and are not covered by insurance.  The number of sessions needed will vary depending on the true reason for therapy.

What is this groups method of providing therapy?

Each therapist has their own approach to therapy.  While we all have a solid foundation in several modalities of therapy (i.e. CBT, Gestalt, Imago, DBT, EFT, etc.), our application will vary.  This is an important question to ask during the consultation to get an understanding.

Is homework required?

Yes, it is. Tools obtained in therapy must be applied in real life through interactions and experiences.

How much will therapy cost?

Therapy is an investment in your “self” and there are costs associated.  Agape Healing and Wellness Center, PLLC offers competitive pricing for therapeutic services. These costs can be covered through health insurance (we contract with several), employee assistance programs (EAP), out of network coverage through health insurance, or self-pay.

What method of payment is accepted?

A valid card must be left on file for payment, which is charged at the end of each session.  This payment can be through a flexible spending account (FSA), health spending account (HSA), healthcare reimbursement account (HRA), or credit/debit cards.  Cash and/or checks are not accepted for payment.

Will my therapist be able to prescribe medication?

No, we do not prescribe medication(s) as it is prohibited by our licensure designations.  It would be best to contact your physician and/or psychiatrist if prescriptions are needed.
